Kirsten's Average Weekday

It's a new day! Even just waking up can be a chore for Kirsten as can sense the chill outside of her warm bed. In the summer she is much more willing to get up because she thinks of the warm sunshine ahead. Usually Kit sleeps with her but this week she is out of town taking Caddie to school.

On her way down from the loft Kirsten grabs her clothes. She naturally doesn't care what she wears as long as it is efficient to her needs that day, depending on what she's doing.

Kirsten bathes in the waterfall every morning, this is her first chore. Jumping into the cold water always wakes her up and somedays it can be nice to feel the chill of the water. She bathes as quick as she can though because it is only pleasant for so long.

She is pleased to see that today all she needs is a light jacket because the warm autumn weather has been very abnormal lately. Usually it would be preparing to snow by this time of year! She grabs her lunch Roan prepared for her the day before and now goes to Work in the Fields.

There is a small carrot patch up on a small recline in the mountain. It is steep and she needs to be very careful as not to fall off or fall into the waterfall. Sometimes she takes the carrots back to sell at the prouduce stand, but usually she just eats them herself along with her lunch.

Climbing up the mountain can be a very slow process. Kirsten has to leave everything behind in order to have use of her hands. She has to use certain rocks sticking out of the cliff to make her way up without falling. She is daring and independant so she's had a few close calls.

Once at the top of the cliff everything seems worth it. She has a magnificent view of all of Merryville and she can see Mara outside of the Cafe moving around, just a small dot. It is here that she Reads and Writes. The mist of the waterfall is pounding on her but in a way that is peaceful. The sun shines a bit brighter up here so she is warmer. Just a bit though.

After working in the fields for more than five hours, Kirsten heads back home. Sometimes she takes a short break but that never lasts long. It is time for her to do her Sewing, Knitting and Crocheting. Today she is mending a dress of Anna's. It seems that Anna plays a little to roughly, due to the stretched out  ripped sleeve.

Next is Kirsten's personal favorite chore. She gets to Exersize her Horse. She takes Khyber around the waterfall and into the forest. It is beautiful outside by early afternoon and Kirsten gallops until Khyber needs a rest.

After that it is Kirsten's time to Work at the Produce Stand. She often doesn't like this part because Samantha Parkington seems to stare at her the whole time with her gossip journal handy.

After working at the produce stand it is Kirsten's break time. She usually does what ever she wants for a while.

One of her chores that doesn't seem like a chore it is so easy is to inspect bedrooms. She usually makes sure that the floor is picked up so no one will trip and fall. She doesn't really care if anything else is messy and usually just says "oh yeah, that's fine" if the room is a wreck!

She is in charge of making dinner and cleaning up dinner afterwards well the family is spread about the cabin doing different things.

Somedays she reads a story for the family. Tonight it is fun, but they all miss Kit. It isn't the same to read stories without her constantly interrupting.

Finally, it is time for bed. Time to go to sleep then wake up and do it all over again!
