"Oh Candice, Lucy, dears, do I really look okay for today?" Charisma asks her sisters anxiously.
Candice, without looking up from the toy catalouge she was looking at, replied.
"Yes Char. I've already answered you a couple dozen times. I do believe we are ready to go!"  Lucy agrees and finally they are ready.

Meanwhile, one floor up was Mia. She was in her room practically jumping up and down from excitment. Her dog Snickers looked at her with interest. He got to go the the festival too if he was good.

After what seemed like forever Mia's twin sister Rythmie and her dog Warrior arrived in Mia's room followed by Ginger, Mia's younger sister.
"Nice shoes!" Rythmie tells Mia.
"Only the best for me!" Mia says, strutting around the room in her most model like pose.

"Herrrrrroooooo Mia! Today is Summer Rolstice!" Ginger says joyfully. Jumping from foot to foot in excitment. The three of them head toward the Larson's yard where the festivities are.

While people gathered outside, Anna sat on her bed her eyes were glazed over because she was thinking about her day.
"Wittle sheepy, I will get other animals today. But I won't forget you!" She says. Then she hears Peder outside calling her. She rushes out.

As soon as she gets out Peder starts laughing.
"Haha! You forgot too.....*Snorty laughter*....change out of your...HAHA!" Anna looks down at her clothes and falls down on the ground. She was wearing her pajamas still! She ran back inside the house to change.

Finally it was officially time for everything to start! Everyone sat down in front of the stage. The mysterious man sitting behind everyone went unoticed.

"Welcome everyone to the first annual Summer Solstice in Merryville! For the next three hours or so everyone is welcome to walk around and observe everything here. There is photo booths, snacks and even a bing bag toss. After that we will gather again to watch one of Starlight Studios best dancers--Charisma Maxwell. Enjoy your day everyone!" Mia smiles and walks over to her Mia's Collectables booth.

Mr. Mysterious didn't move an inch. We was constructing a plan in his mind.

Lucy walked up and looked him in the face. At least...she tried to look him in the face, but that wasn't easy with the hat in his eyes.
"Anyone in there? Officer Hound?"
At least she thought it was Officer Hound.......

Rythmie, Mia and Marta were occupied by something else entirely. Warrior had gotten way too curious in the horses and had gotten his head stuck in between the bars of their corral. Hunt, Peder's dog,  was trying to pull Warrior out with his puppy paws and Rythmie was tackling Hunt. Mia was cheering them on and Marta was trying to calm her frightened horses.

Peder was throwing a temper tantrum. He had wanted to throw a stuffed animal at the bing bag toss.
"Pick the animal you want and then throw it in at least two of the holes. Then you get to keep it." Kirsten instructed Peder.
"I don't care which one it is I just want to throw it!" Peder snickered. Finally he said "I want the fat Panda!" He picked it up and it was huge in his arms.
"This is as big as a baby!" He announced. He tried to throw it into the hole, but missed. He got on the ground and started screaming as Kirsten yelled at him.

He tries again and gets his panda bear stuck into the top hole. He yells and grows and reaches, but he can't get it out.

Candice had just purchased two Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head dolls from Mia.
"I've always wanted one of these." She says happily.

Lucy was riding Khyber and holding on to the poor horses neck for dear life! He was spooked at having someone he didn't know riding him. He bucked her all over the place and her boot flied off! It landed right in front of.....

Mr. Mysterious.

Weirdly, he put it on his foot and sat down stubbornly. Lucy Maxwell, sister of Charisma Maxwell, was NOT about to watch this weirdo take her boot.
"GIRL POWER!" She yelled and all of the kids dropped what they were doing and ran at Mr. Mysterious.

All of the girls--and Peder--tackled him to the ground. Lucy grabbed her boot off his foot happily and threw his cowboy boot into......

...the pond. Mr. Mysterious let out a grunt and finally yelled something.
"You may think I am Officer Hound, but I am not. He is my spoiled twin brother! I was going to ruin this festival because of him!"
"Then...r-rere is Officer Hound if re's not you?" Ginger asked.
"I locked him up! But you blasted girls..."
"...and boy!" Peder yelled.
"...yeah whatever! You blasted kids ruined everything! Now I'll have to get rid of him and try a new plan!"

"This isn't the last you'll hear of me! I swear it!" He yelled, grabbing his soaked boot from the water and running out of town.

"Well erm, with that out of the way I guess it's time to watch our dancers!" Mia announces. Everyone walks over to the stage where Charisma is ready to go.

Charisma hopped, twirled, spin and bounced the way through her graceful dance. Everyone "oohed" and "ahhed" at her. She loved the attention. After some dancing they headed outside to watch the sun go down.

Everyone is nice and cozy in their blankets.

Charisma holds Candice and Kiki in her lap while Candice holds her new stuffed duck she won from the bing bag toss.

Anna peers off the deck.
"Shummer!" She sighs. "It's finally here."

Mia tries to keep her squirming dog in her lap, but is failing.

Some of the older girls started playing tag together.

It was a wonderful day and everyone went to bed happy.

Except, maybe, this poor panda bear.
