The Larson Family

Picture
Kirsten Mary Larson (13):
Kirsten is in charge of making sure everything is running smoothly which can be a bit of a chore. She takes care of the horses--Khyber and Trotter--and feeds them every morning and night.
Kirsten is an obvious over-achiever and she is always crocheting blankets, hats, scarfs and any other necessities to prepare for winter. Often she helps her sisters to sew things and she likes to make Peder clothes . Kirsten is a very productive person and she can't stand to just sit down and not do anything. So even when she sits down she is usually embroidering something. Her hands don't feel right other wise.

Joan Larson (11)

Picture
Though her real name is Joan, she HATES when people call her that. She likes horses so much that she goes by Roan. She refuses to wear new clothes and just likes her old clothes, which strongly annoys Kirsten. Roan is VERY independent and knows about everywhere in the woods. She likes to explore everything. Roan lives right under the top, top loft in the Larson's house, sharing a room with Spoody. She has a dog named Avalanche who explores with her, and a horse named Nork.

Anna Heather Larson (11):
Anna has turned out to be quite the interesting girl. She really enjoys taking care of her piggies, Frumpy and Juicy, and riding her horse Khyber. Anna loves writing Ginger StClare in her free time and going on walks. The house is always full of a fresh flowering smell because it's Anna's job to pick beautiful flowers for the house. She doesn't enjoy sewing much, except the early months of the year when there is a cold slush outside and she needs something to do inside. She stores fabric scraps under her matress all year round then surprises Kirsten by making a quilt!

Spoody (Spot-ty) Larson (11)

Peder Dana Larson (8):
Much to Kirsten's dismay-Peder loves to be a troublemaker. He likes to try feeding Marta's sheep "salad" that he makes out of grass and leaves. Peder is very outspoken and everyone that sees him says he will turn out well--though hey might just be trying to comfort Kirsten.  It's rare to see Peder without his dog Hunt. Hunt follows Peder around everywhere he goes--even to the loft at night! Peder taught Hunt how to climb up the latter. Hunt is named after what Peder wants to be someday, a Hunter!

Hunt

Picture
Hunt is Peder's dog who is part husky, part wolf. Peder always hoped for a Collie, but when he showed up as a cold, wet little puppy no one could stand to give him away. His cheerful puppy spirit brightens everyone's mood even though he is a bit of a stinker. He also loves to eat any food he can get ahold of (hence, his picture).
